New Orleans Saints and star running back Alvin Kamara agree on 2-year extension through the 2026 season
On Tuesday it was announced that Alvin Kamara and the Saints have agreed to a two year, 24.5 Million dollar extension that will last through the 20-26 season.
Kamara is the organizations all-time leader in rushing touchdowns with 60, total touchdowns with 84, and all purpose yards with 11,396.
He also ranks second in team history in rushing yards and third in receptions.
While he is still one of the top running backs in the league….Kamara’s new contract gives him the opportunity to potentially retire as a saint at the end of the 20-26 season.
“I’ve said it so many times, like, I want to be here,” Alvin Kamara said. “I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. These fans, this organization, my career here…this is just the icing on the cake. To be able to say that I won’t really have to go anywhere else to play football, just leave it all here, I am thankful for the organization to be able to get this done.”
Kamara and the Saints will look to snap their current 5-game losing streak this Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers.
