Biloxi Shuckers unveil new ballpark name as regular season comes to an end
The Biloxi Shuckers close out their regular season on Sunday at home, but the season will continue as they are playoff bound for the first time since 2019.
Over the weekend Keesler Federal Credit Union and Shuckers representatives unveiled the new name for the ballpark.
Keesler Federal Park.
WXXV sports director Jevan McCoskey had the chance to speak with Keesler Federal Credit Union President and CEO Andy Swoger on why this is such a positive moment for the community.
“Man it is awesome because our roots are here,” Swoger said. “Keesler Federal Credit Union, yes, we have grown. We have over 325,000 member now. We are in Alabama, we are in Louisiana, up in Jackson, we have branches in the United Kingdom but this is where we are from. This is very important for us. This is what we consider home.”
