Women Arrested On Drug Charges

Two Texas women driving through South Mississippi are now behind bars charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
37 year old Yohanna Ruiz Guerra and Evelyn Juarez, both from Texas, were seen driving carelessly on i-10 in Jackson County back on May 10th.
Just before 9 am, officers with the South Mississippi Metro Enforcement Team pulled them over on Mississippi Highway 57.
Officers discovered a total of 13 point 2 pounds of cocaine in their vehicle.
Both women were arrested and at their initial appearance were ordered to be held without bond until their preliminary and detention hearing set to be held today.
