Naval Construction Battalion Center preparing for Francine

NAVAL CONSTRUCTION BATTALION CENTER GULFPORT, Miss. — In preparation for the effects of Tropical Storm Francine, Naval Construction Battalion Center Gulfport will reduce manning to mission-essential personnel and several base services will be closed September 11.

Please be aware of the following closures:

• The Navy Exchange (NEX), Commissary, Child Development Center, Youth and Teen Centers, and all Morale, Welfare and Recreation facilities will be closed.
• The Colmer Dining Facility will be open for breakfast before closing for the remainder of the day. The NEX mini-mart will remain open until 11 a.m.
• The gates at 28th Street and Broad Ave. will close at 12 p.m., and the Visitor Control Center will also close at 12 p.m. Pass Road gate will remain open.

Closures are subject to change. Decisions on services and reporting on September 12 will be announced as soon as the information is available.
