Meteorologist Trey Tonnessen

A weak front will remain nearly stationary near the coast for most of the week. Meanwhile, deep layer moisture levels will continue to increase with water values well over 2 inches by Wednesday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms from this afternoon mostly dissipated this evening. Scattered showers and storms are expected again on Wednesday (especially over the southern half of the forecast area. Rain chances remain scattered to numerous on Thursday and Friday along the coast. High temperatures will be 10-15 degrees below normal both afternoons given the cloud cover and rainfall – many spots may not even get into the 80s by the afternoon. The moisture switch quickly gets flipped as we roll into the weekend and rain chances start the downward trend.
