Ole Miss and Southern Miss men’s basketball to return to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum on December 14th

According to a press release from the Mississippi Coliseum & Convention Center, the Mississippi Coast Coliseum will host Southern Miss vs. Ole Miss men’s basketball for the 2nd consecutive year on Dec. 14th.

The Rebels walked away with a 89-72 victory over the Golden Eagles when the two teams met at the Coliseum last December. Ole Miss head coach Chris Beard spoke on his excitement of coming back down tot he coast to compete against Jay Ladner and the Golden Eagles.

“Yeah, so Jay Ladner and I are friends,” Chris Beard said. “I have a lot of respect for coach. I thought the game was good last year for both teams. It is something that we want to continue on an annual basis for so many reasons. I think it is the right thing to do for basketball in the state of Mississippi. I think it is a good game for both teams.”
