National Salvation Army Week

This week is all about celebrating the organization that does the most good.

This week is National Salvation Army week.
The Salvation Army encourages people to learn about the needs of the millions of Americans living in poverty or near the poverty line.
Right here in South Mississippi you can get involved in volunteering at their locations in Biloxi, Gulfport, and Pascagoula.
Members of the Salvation Army tell News 25 any little time or effort helps with their mission.

“You can come for an hour and just help for an hour you can donate a dollar that helps, get a couple cans of food in the door, any little things helps, and even if you just want to spread awareness you can take some of our flyers and brochures and pass those out, that’s something you can just throw in your bag and go as you’re walking out the door and be like hey did you know they do this maybe you can help.”
