8/5 – Trey Tonnessen’s “Nightside Return” Monday 9PM Forecast

Meteorologist Trey Tonnessen

Tropical Storm Debby is likely to still only be near the South Carolina or Georgia coastline Wednesday evening. It may take until Friday night or Saturday to get far enough north to get absorbed into the westerlies. Until that happens, there is going to be little day to day change locally. As long as surface winds continue to be out of the north, any tempering of temperatures by a sea breeze would be extremely delayed until late afternoon, if one occurs at all. With no sea breeze to speak of, and comparatively low precipitable water values, potential for afternoon convection is expected to be rather low.
