High School Softball: Harrison Central vs. Tupelo
When the Harrison Central softball team lost game one of South State, the Red Rebelettes bounced back to beat Brandon in games two and three to advance to state. Today, they were faced with the same predicament after losing to Tupelo yesterday in game one.
Lady Golden Wave were looking to close things out while Harrison Central still trying to make it a four-pete in Class 6A.
The Lady Wave claim their first state title in fast pitch softball. So for the first time since 2013, there’s a new state champion in Class 6A as the Red Rebelettes fall just short of their fourth consecutive title, losing game two by the score of 7-3.
Meanwhile, the dynasty keeps rolling in the 5A ranks as Neshoba Central knocks off Picayune 6-2 to claim its fifth straight crown.
