8/2 – Trey Tonnessen’s “Heat index 115+” Friday Morning Forecast

Meteorologist Trey Tonnessen

High temperatures could be at or just above the century mark today. Conditions will be miserable for those outdoors. Tonight, we should see some showers develop well to the north of the area in central Mississippi, which will develop a cirrus canopy to the south and should flow over our area by early Saturday, we would love to say that it will be enough to keep the heat down, but it is not; as it should start decaying around or after sunrise. A frontal boundary over northern Arkansas is moving south very slowly this morning. This is the front that will be making its way to our area by Saturday afternoon or what is left of it.
