8/1 – Sam Parker’s “Dry Heat and Tropical” Thursday Evening Forecast

Several locations reached heat indices of 110 F or higher today, few clouds were above our heads this afternoon too. Expect one change for the forecast tomorrow. Temperatures, both actual and apparent, are expected to be slightly hotter tomorrow. Cannot rule out that actual air temperatures reach 100 degrees in a few spots and heat indices approach 114 F or greater. Therefore, the heat advisory has been upgraded to an excessive heat warning for the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Overnight lows will be in the upper 70s to near 80 deg F. In the Atlantic invest 97 is drifting its way toward the gulf. Looks to become a tropical storm/ depression Saturday. as of right now I believe Debby could be headed towards Florida.
