7/30 – Trey Tonnessen’s “Heat Alerts Extended” Tuesday Morning Forecast

An upper high centered near Houston early this morning, with troughing along both the Atlantic and Pacific coasts. At the surface, high pressure centered off the Louisiana coast. At 3 AM central, no precipitation was over our area, and very little in the way of cloud cover. Temperatures at that time ranged from the upper 70s to mid 80s. Dew points ranged from the mid 70s to around 80. Upper ridging will remain near the area through Wednesday, with most modeling reorienting over Louisiana Wednesday
