EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Train crashes into 18-wheeler on 33rd Avenue

A train crash on 33rd Avenue in Gulfport caused traffic delays earlier today.

An 18-wheeler got stuck as it drove over the railroad crossing.

Exclusive to WXXV News 25, Ring Doorbell footage provided by Hailey Johnson captured the scene.

The crash happened around 7:30 AM on Thursday.

The 18-wheeler was stuck on the railroad’s include and the train could not slow down in time.

This is not the first time this year a truck was hit at this spot, an 19-wheeler carrying bananas was hit in February.

Gulfport Police say the crossings around the crash will be closed for some time so the wreck can be cleared and CSX can conduct safety checks.
