Excessive Rainfall Outlook including South Mississippi

When:  Timing is better for Thursday afternoon, with best chances mid-afternoon thru the evening hours, continuing moderately overnight.

Traveling: Do NOT cross weather covered roadways. Find an alternate route home and remember, Turn Around Don’t Drown.

Impacts: a Slight Risk to a Marginal Risk across the area. Hazards include locally intense rain rates in any heavier thunderstorm today that will quickly lead to areas of flash flooding. Rainfall amounts will very greatly today from low-end amounts upwards of around 0.25 inches to areas of 1-2 inches or greater depending on where heavier storms develop.
