The King’s Kitchen looking for hygiene items and clothing donations
One local group on the Gulf Coast is looking for donations of hygiene items and clothing.
The King’s Kitchen says the Mississippi Department of Corrections is giving items to men at their restitution house.
The King’s Kitchen is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8 in the morning until 1.
During these times, items for donation include toothpaste, deodorant, razors, t-shirts, and white socks.
The reason for these donations is because according to MDOC, about 90% of men released from prison leave with just the clothes they wore when released.
