National Kitten Day: $5 Kitten Adoptions at Jackson County Animal Shelter

Today is National Kitten Day and there is no better way to celebrate than adopting one!

The Jackson County Animal Shelter is currently in the midst of a kitten adoption special. Right now, all kittens in the shelter are just $5.

Jackson County Animal Shelter Adoption Coordinator Maridee Mallette tell us more on how you can adopt an animal right now. “You have to be 21 years old and have a valid ID or Driver’s License to adopt a pet. We’re going to have specials any time, we also have specials on the dogs. I just want everyone to adopt and safe a life. The shelter is overflowing with animals, not just kittens but adult dogs. We run out of space all the time and it is not good. I’m begging you to come out and save a life, we need your help.”
