Mississippi Power sending linemen to Texas to help Beryl victims

Mississippi Power is sending a team to help Texans affected by Hurricane Beryl.

Over 160 linemen left the Magnolia State earlier this morning for Texas. They will be joining restoration efforts in impacted communities around Houston.

While Mississippi Power is joining crews in Texas, they want to remind Mississippi residents to stay weather prepared during this hurricane season. Lead lineman Rusty White said, “We feel like these storm trips are part of what we do during storm season. They keep our team storm tested, well versed. They serve our customers back home when it’s time to have restorations. Today is all about traveling safely to the Houston area. Then we’ll focus on getting the lights back on for those customers in Texas that are affected.”

White says Mississippi Power is happy to lend a hand to anyone in need.
