Cory McGee sets new personal record during the Olympic Trials

On Sunday night, Pass Christian’s very own Cory McGee competed in the final heat of the US Women’s qualifying round for the 1500 meter. Although she came up just short, she continues to impress on the track.

Last Thursday evening, Cory lined up for round one of the women’s 1500 meter race and she placed first with a time of 4:15.75. In Friday’s heat, Cory placed fourth in the semifinals, solidifying her spot in the final round.

Although McGee didn’t qualify for the 2024 Paris olympics, she was the fifth woman across the finish line and received a personal best with a time of 3:57.44!
