Emergency agencies met with the community and local businesses to discuss hurricane preparedness during this hurricane season.

Mississippi is almost one month into hurricane season and although its rather calm on the Gulf of Mexico and the Mississippi Sound, weather experts at NOAA still expect an above-average active hurricane season for the coming months.
