Victims identified in fatal overnight shooting in Gulfport

Two people have died after an overnight shooting in Gulfport, Harrison County Coroner Brian Switzer confirms.

The Gulfport Police Department are currently investigating the shooting in the 800 block of 27th Street, just a few blocks south of Pass Road.

According to Switzer, one victim, 18-year-old Temi Lawal of Moss Point, was pronounced dead at the scene and the other victim, 21-year-old Lorenzo Stennis from Pascagoula, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The names of the victims have not been released at this time, pending notification of their families.
