MHP officer and group of Seabees help in single-car crash

A Mississippi Highway Patrol officer is receiving recognition for a heroic action on March 20th, with some help from a few Seabees.

According to MHP Spokesperson Cal Robertson, Corporal Kevin Burnett was driving on I-10 in Hancock County near mile marker 3 when Burnett noticed heavy traffic and smoke. He found a single car crash that had not been reported and jumped into action to assist the driver.

With the help of a few Seabees, Corporal Burnett helped the driver regain consciousness before emergency services arrived.
