City of Gulfport schedules road closure for surrounding areas of 2nd Street
(Gulfport, MS) – The City of Gulfport has scheduled a ‘Road Closure’ for the citizens in the surrounding areas of 2nd Street.
The east and westbound lanes of 2nd Street between Thornton Avenue and Pratt Avenue will be closed to through traffic for a water main repair.
Thornton Avenue, 3rd Street, and Pratt Avenue will serve as the designated detour route, ensuring minimal disruption to citizens and businesses in the area.
The ‘Road Closure’ is scheduled to begin Friday, May 3, 2024, at 8:00 AM and is expected to reopen on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 3:30 PM, weather permitting.
The City of Gulfport is asking all residents and businesses to observe and follow all traffic markers placed in the area.
