First responders participate in Heroes at Fallen Oak Golf Tournament

First responders traded badges and uniforms for shorts and golf clubs at the 4th annual Heroes at Fallen Oak Golf Tournament earlier today.

The scramble golf tournament gave more than 120 officers, deputies, firefighters, and EMTs a relaxing day on the course.

First responders from 31 different departments across South Mississippi participated.

Keesler Federal Credit Union President and CEO Andy Swoger says the picture-perfect day was a great way to say thank you to local first responders. “At Keesler Federal Credit Union, we are all about — all about — giving back to our local community. This is the fourth time we’ve done this tournament. This is a spectacular event. We’ve partnered with Beau Rivage. This is the most spectacular golf facility in the state of Mississippi. We keep dialing up these perfectly beautiful days and we have the opportunity to give back to these men and women who do so much for us.”

Heroes at Fallen Oak Results are in! First place goes to Gulfport Fire Department, second goes to Long Beach police, and third goes to the Harrison County Fire Department.
