Gulfport native helps support Super Hornet jet

A coast native helps support Super Hornet jets!

Petty Officer 2nd Class Darius Jackson is a Gulfport native, graduating from Gulfport High School in 2010.

He joined the U.S. Navy 11 years ago, serving now as an aircrew survival equipmentman.

Jackson says one of the proudest accomplishments during his military career was when his squadron won the McCluskey Award.

The McCluskey Award is given to the best squadron in the navy.
