Traffic plan for Spring Break events

Spring Break is now underway on the Coast and we want to remind you about changes to the flow of traffic on Highway 90 in Gulfport and Biloxi.

Highway 90 from Cowan to DeBuys Road will be down to one lane east and westbound. The other lane will be used for emergency vehicles.

If necessary, police will divert traffic north on Cowan Road to I-10 and southbound traffic will be diverted west onto Seaway Road.

In Biloxi, traffic adjustments will be in place from DeBuys to Iberville Drives. In the event of heavy delays, drivers will be directed onto either I-10 or I-110.

The City of D’Iberville will support the City of Biloxi’s ‘Venting’ Traffic plan for the 2024 Spring Break event.

In the event U.S. Highway 90 traffic approaches gridlock, the City of Biloxi will direct motorists north on I-110 in efforts to move traffic to I-10.

The City of D’Iberville will support these efforts to move traffic on I-10. The City of D’Iberville will support these efforts with the closing of north bound exits on I-110 directing all motorists east and west bound to I-10.

This process may last 30 minutes or more as the traffic diversion provides the desired results on the congestion of U.S. Hwy 90.

Depending on the public safety circumstances of the event in Biloxi, this could also dictate a longer time of implementation to include the closure of all south bound traffic to I-110.

If your weekend plans involving traveling in the aforementioned corridors, please be aware of potential delays and consider alternative routes.
