Five Republicans Run For Mayor

In Long Beach, all five candidates running for mayor are republicans George Bass, Leonard Carrubba, Ronnie Hammons, Kevin Nelson, and Gary Ponthieux (pon-chay).
In order to avoid a runoff, the winning candidate would need to secure 50 percent of the vote plus one tonight.
Long Beach residents have been hitting the polls all morning.
