Fire sparks up near Moss Point exit

Friday afternoon, a woods fire sparked up near the Moss Point exit on I-10.

According to Kevin Craft with the Mississippi Forestry Commission, the cause of the blaze is undetermined and currently impacting woods.

Multiple structures are in danger, but Craft says there is no need to evacuate yet because multiple agencies are on scene to put the fire out.

As of 5:10 p.m., the fire is 30 percent contained and affecting 250+ acres.

Locals may notice lots of smoke in the area.
