The AUSA and ESGR met with local leaders at the Legends Hotel in Biloxi.

It’s the first meeting of a weekend long event for the Magnolia chapter of the AUSA. It’s also the first time the meeting has been held here in Southern Mississippi.

“It’s a chance for us to get together and learn a bit more of what’s going on here on the Biloxi Gulf Coast, but also to learn from AUSA National that will be with us on some new things that can help us grow out thumbprint and support our army.”

The organization, which includes 19 different chapters with a total of 23,000 members, provides a voice for America’s army and it’s supporters. Working to educate, inform, and connect active and retired service members and all of their supporters.

“The Association of the United States Army is a professional organization that supports the soldier and is the voice of the army in Capitol Hill.

Tonight’s meeting saw the AUSA and ESGR, also known as Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, meet with local leaders and witness the signing of statements of support by those leaders and local employers.

“Just admitting that they know that they, the soldiers and guardsmen that work for them, fill a void with our national security and we appreciate them.”
