48 arrested in fentanyl operations in Mississippi
Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch has announced dozens of arrests connected to two operations conducted by the strike force in January and February.
In all, 48 arrests were made related to the sale of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
During one of these operations, officers seized two pill presses, about 76,000 pills, 114 pounds of powder, and 12 guns.
In a statement, AG Fitch says ‘Mississippi is committed to building a network of law enforcement partnerships across the state to identify and handle fentanyl and remove criminals from the Magnolia state’s communities.’
She also said with the ‘One Pill can Kill’ initiative, the fentanyl pandemic can be defeated.
