The city of Pass Christian will hold its board of aldermen meeting on Tuesday.
The city of Pass Christian will hold its board of aldermen meeting on Tuesday. The meeting is to discuss a variety of topics for the upcoming year.
One of the topics of discussion will be the implementation of restrictions on food trucks and vendors for future Mardi Gras parades to promote safety and ease for residents once the parade is over.
“So next year, what we’re going to do is we’re going to limit the number of food trucks and also vendors as well. We feel that the right thing to do is to host one of the finest parades on the coast, but afterwards, when people have gotten very lively, the main thing is we want to encourage is safety and that something that’s just very important to us.”
Another topic of discussion during the meeting will be the St. Paul Village project which will see the construction of townhomes in the downtown area.
“And now we’re gonna have 36 townhomes there, so that’s gonna be 36 families going in there and supporting our existing local businesses. So, we’re really excited about the St. Paul’s Village project.”
The board of aldermen meeting will take place on Tuesday, at 6 p.m. at Pass Christian City Hall.
