3/17 – Jeff’s “Cold Front” Sunday Night Forecast

A cold front will clear the area as we usher in the new week. A cooler pattern will greet us as winter’s last gasp will be in store for the Mississippi Coast. Expect breezy and cooler conditions for much of your Monday as cold air works into the region. Temperatures will still manage to reach the mid-to-upper 60s as skies clear. The issue becomes colder temperatures for the next few nights. Monday night/Tuesday morning will feature very cold temperatures for this time of the season. It is looking like the area will avoid a hard freeze but it is worth mentioning that frost conditions are increasingly likely north of Interstate 10.

Tuesday morning may remain windy enough to avoid a widespread frost but temperatures will still manage to dip to freezing in inland spots. The beachfront will likely avoid freezing temperatures for the early part of this week. Wednesday morning has the chance to overachieve with morning low temperatures because of high pressure being overhead. Lighter winds will favor frost developing but this will be highly conditional. Milder temperatures and rain chances return for the end of the week.
