The Magnolia state representatives shine during 2024 NFL Combine
The NFL Combine is officially underway in Indianapolis, IN and the state of Mississippi is being well represented after the first two days.
Defensive lineman and linebackers got things started on Thursday for the first day of the combine and some former Mississippi State and Ole Miss players were turning heads.
Bulldogs defensive tackle Jaden Crumedy had a positive day and clocked a sub 5 second 40-yard-dash with a 4.97.
State linebacker Nathaniel Watson recorded a 4.63 40-yard-dash – tied for ninth best at his position.
Ole Miss rebel Cedric Johnson may have had the best day from a Mississippi representative as he finished the day with the highest recorded vertical jump for his position at 38 inches.
Defensive backs took the field on Friday where Daijhan Anthony and Deantre Prince represented the Rebels.
Decamarion Richardson made a few jaws drop with his 40-yard-dash time of 4.34.
The combine will run through the rest of this weekend and Saturday will be one of the bigger days as quarterbacks, receivers, and running back show off their talents – including USM’s very own Frank Gore Jr.
