Southern Miss and Nicholls lead off the 2024 Hancock Whitney Classic at Biloxi Shuckers stadium

The Southern Miss Golden Eagles and the Nicholls Bison kicked off the 2024 Hancock Whitney Classic on Tuesday evening.

This was a game that saw the Golden Eagles fight back from a three run deficit in the fourth inning, but eventually would fall in extra innings losing 6-5.

This is the first of three games in the Hancock Whitney Classic with the next coming March 12.
