One vehicle accident leaves one dead in Pearl River County

On Monday, February 19, 2024, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Mississippi Highway Patrol responded to a fatal crash on Highway 53 in Pearl River County.

A 2019 Ford F-150 driven by 64-year-old Jeffery Williams of Carriere, MS, was traveling north on Highway 53 when the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree.

Jeffery Williams received fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene.
