St. Patrick lady Irish soccer team reflect after winning State Championship
There were a handful of coast high school soccer teams that brought how state championship hardware over the weekend. Three teams to be exact: the Bay Tigers, the Long Beach Bearcats, and the St. Patrick fighting Irish girls soccer team.
The lady Irish didn’t just become class 1 state champions…they can now call themselves back-to-back state champs after their dominating performance. The lady Irish won 7-0 and scored four goals in the first five minutes of the game.
Their performance was so dominant that they game was called early due to mercy rule with 29 minutes remaining.
Head coach Cassandra Terry, sophomore Bella Jordan, and junior Anna Katherine Thriffiley spoke on what this accomplishment means to them.
