Two car accident on Highway 49

Harrison County Fire Rescue, CRTC, and Gulfport Fire Department responded to a two-vehicle accident at Highway 49 and Old Hwy 49 Saturday.

Fire crews had to extricate one person and Rescue Five flew one person to a trauma center.

Traffic on Highway 49 had to be diverted for a period of time while crews worked the accident.

Mississippi Highway Patrol investigated the accident.
