Services for former Bay St. Louis Mayor Eddie Favre set
Services for late Bay St. Louis Mayor Eddie Favre have been announced. The longtime public servant died Sunday at the age of 69.
Visitation will be held Sunday, February 18th at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis from 6 to 10 p.m.
On Monday, the 19th, another visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church.
The funeral mass will follow from 12 to 1 with burial at 1:30 at St. Mary Cemetery.
Favre began his career in public service in 1980 as city clerk for Bay St. Louis. He then served 20 years as mayor, retiring in 2009 and serving as a fierce advocate of the city and region in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
He came out of retirement to serve as Hancock County administrator from 2016 to 2022.
