Meggan Monday: Upcoming Mardi Gras Events

As we kick off a new week, our friend Meggan Gray is going to fill us on the fun carnival events we’ve got coming up that will take us all the way through Fat Tuesday.

We’ve been celebrating carnival season for a few weeks, but it’s getting down to the last few weeks.

With a shorter season, the last two weekends of carnival are going to be jam-packed with events and parades going on.

First, let’s take a look at what’s going on this weekend. On Saturday:

• The Biloxi Children’s Walking Parade will be held in downtown Biloxi starting at 10 a.m.
• The Mystic Krewe of Pine Island will be celebrating with their parade at 1:30 p.m. in Vancleave
• The Carnival Association of Long Beach will roll its parade at 6 p.m. through downtown
• The Gautier Men’s Club will roll is parade at 7 p.m.

On Sunday:

• The Krewe of Barkloxi’s Bow Wow Parade will be held at Point Cadet in Biloxi at 11 a.m.
• Krewe of Nereids rolls at noon along Highway 90 in Waveland

On February 9^th:

• Ocean Springs Carnival Association’s night parade at 7 p.m. through downtown

On February 10^th:

• Krewe of Diamondhead Mardi Gras Parade rolls at noon in Diamondhead
• Jackson County Carnival Association rolls at noon in Pascagoula
• Krewe of Gemini holds its day parade rolling through downtown Gulfport at 2 p.m.
• Krewe of Neptune has its night parade starting at 5:30 through downtown Biloxi

On February 11^th:

• On Sunday, the St. Paul Carnival Association has its parade, typically one of the biggest on the Coast, starting at noon
• The Second Street Social Club Parade, which is a golf cart parade that runs down Second Street in Gulfport, starts at 1 p.m. to Centennial Plaza, where they end with party on the centennial grounds
• At 1:30 p.m., the St. Martin North Bay Area Parade rolls through D’Iberville to finish out the Sunday festivities

On Monday, or Lundi Gras, February 12^th:

• The Mystic Krewe of Seahorse will hold it golf cart parade in Bay St. Louis with Chapel Hart serving as grand marshals

On Tuesday, Mardi Gras, February 13^th:

• The Gulf Coast Carnival Association will hold its annual parade through Downtown Biloxi starting at 1 p.m.
• In Bay St. Louis, the Krewe of Real People Next Generation will roll at 1 p.m.
