Two injured in industrial accident at Hancock County plant

Two employees at Jindal Tubular in Hancock County were injured in an industrial accident Friday morning, the executive director of the Port and Harbor Commission said.

Information is limited, but Executive Director Blaine LaFontaine said he was made aware about 11 a.m. that two employees were injured in an incident involving pipes.

One of the employees was sent to a hospital in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, he said.

Jindal Tubular makes large steel pipes as big as 60 inches in diameter and as long as 80 feet.
