Pascagoula PD Holds Blood Drive to Benefit One of Their Own
So this year, the Pascagoula Police Department is dedicating their fourth annual blood drive to Scott’s wife. Instead of giving out t-shirts for people who donate, the center will donate $10 for each unit of blood donated to Scott’s cancer fund.
Lt. Doug Adams of the Pascagoula Police Department says, “When we talked to the blood center about doing our blood drive, Tia mentioned we could do it as a fundraiser for Terry Scott, who is a long-time donor and an officer of ours. His wife has cancer and is at MD Anderson, has been there for about six weeks and will be there for about four more weeks, so medical bills are piling up.”
Forty four units of blood were collected at the drive at the Jackson County Civic Center. That means $440 will be donated to Scott for her continued recovery.
