Court denies attempt to overturn death penalty sentence

A man found guilty of capital murder and sentenced to death in 2010 attempted to overturn the ruling for a second time.
Timothy Ronk was found guilty for the August 2008 killing of Michelle Craite, a 37-year-old Biloxi woman.
Ronk also set Craite’s house on fire, an autopsy revealing multiple stab wounds and severe burns. Both were in a relationship at the time.
Ronk was sentenced to 30 years in prison and received the death penalty.
His death sentence was affirmed in 2015 and he was sentenced to death by lethal injection.
Ronk attempted to overturn the conviction for a second time, the appeal being rejected on January 8 of this year.
