Former Picayune star running back transfers to Nebraska

Former Picayune running back and Oregon Duck Dante Dowdell recently entered the transfer portal and has made his decision on where he will continue his academic and football career.

Former 4-star running back, MaxPreps All-American, US Army Bowl participant and 5A Mr. Football Dante Dowdell committed to Oregon out of high school. After the Ducks season ended, Dowdell entered the transfer portal and put his name atop a list of talented running backs searching for a new home.

On January 6th he announced that he will be transferring to Nebraska where he will have three years of eligibility remaining for the Cornhuskers.

Picayune fans and those on the coast are looking forward to what Dante can bring to a Matt Rhule offense and can’t wait to see his production next season.
