Keeping pets safe and happy during New Year’s Eve

Ringing in the New Year can bring a lot of fun, especially with the use of fireworks.

The Humane Society of South Mississippi reminds us that fireworks can cause distress to your pets and it is important to plan accordingly.

It’s important to leave your pets at home and inside, away from any fireworks if possible.

In doing so, it is encouraged to also ensure they are in a more interior room away from noise.

Leaving toys in the room with them can also be any easy and helpful distraction.
