Southern Miss Basketball faces off against Ole Miss at Coast Coliseum
Mississippi basketball fans are getting a Christmas gift a few days early this year as Southern Miss is set to take on Ole Miss.
On Saturday at 1 p.m., the 25th ranked Ole Miss Rebels and the Southern Miss Golden Eagles will battle it out at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
Ole Miss is currently 11-0 while Southern Miss is 6-5.
Ole Miss is ranked inside the top 25 for the first time since 2019 and are one of only three teams in Division I basketball with an undefeated record.
The Rebels are led by Alan Flanigan with 17 points per game while the Golden Eagles are led by senior guard Austin Crowley with 16 points, four rebounds, and four assists per game.
The Rebels average just under 75 points per game and Southern Miss averages just under 70.
Some keys to the game for both teams, they are pretty simple. For USM, rebound and defend, limit Ole Miss to one shot possessions and crash the glass.
For Ole Miss, get out and run, make this thing a track meet and force the Golden Eagles into some turnovers.
