Officials coming together to address homelessness in Mississippi

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Mississippi field office director Adrenace Williams will be joined by Gulfport Mayor Billy Hewes to address homelessness on December 20.

The address will happen at noon at the Handsboro Community Center in Gulfport.

Also present will be Mississippi Supreme Court Associate Justice Dawn Beam as well as the state’s regional housing authority VIII President Justin Brook and director of finance Heather Mueller.

Representatives from continuums of care and public child welfare agencies and stakeholders will also be there to make an announcement to assist with strengthening coordination and combatting homelessness in Mississippi.
