Third annual Holly Jolly Block Party in Gulfport

In Gulfport, the Christmas spirit was alive and well in Gulfport as one church celebrated with its community.

Crosspoint Church in Gulfport held its third annual Holly Jolly Community Block Party Saturday. The party included candy land lane where guests could pick up free treats and goodies, a bounce house and slide, and pictures with Mr. and Mrs. Claus and their elf.

Guests also enjoyed the live nativity scene experience, traveling through the different stations while learning about the birth of Jesus.

Santa Claus says it is always fun spreading joy during this time of year. “Seeing all these happy kids, everybody, they keep us going. It’s a little late in the year to be doing this because we’re usually making toys and getting our list and all that together and we’re missing the snow.”

The block party is a free event for the public each and every year.
