Escaped Mississippi inmate captured in Texas

An escaped inmate from Meridian was captured earlier today.

Ryan Young was captured in Port Arthur, Texas after escaping the Mississippi Department of Corrections last week.

Young was previously serving a 40-year sentence for burglaries, grand larceny, and firearm possession.

According to police, Young also stole a truck and a car during the manhunt.
