Fat Spoon Cafe opens in Ocean Springs

Named one of Louisiana’s best restaurants, Fat Spoon Cafe has finally made its debut here in Mississippi.”

the restaurant specializes in indulgent breakfast, lunch, and cocktails.

Fat Spoon was created by a lawyer with a passion for eating well, Sonny Garcia, and when he retired, Fat Spoon was born in 2011.

The Ocean Springs location is the fourth Fat Spoon Cafe to open and is expanding the family business. Sonny’s daughter will be in charge of this one.

And while the owners live in Covington full time, they actually have been visiting Ocean Springs for quite a while.

That’s why they believe fat Spoon will be right at home.

Sonny Garcia said, “I feel like it is a great spot. We don’t have a restaurant in Louisiana that has a tourist attraction like this does and the art festivals and things of that nature. We love it. I think it’s a great spot for Fat Spoon Cafe. That’s why we put it here.”

Fat Spoon Cafe is open from 7 A.M. to 3 P.M. seven days a week.
