Home Instead, CVS team up to make sure seniors have Christmas
Home Instead Senior Care’s annual senior tree is up in all Gulf Coast CVS locations.
The Be A Santa to a Senior tree is a way to provide gifts for those seniors in need and to make their Christmases special.
In partnership with CVS, they encourage shoppers to adopt a senior, with 150 seniors expected to receive a gift through the campaign.
Chris Thompson of the Ocean Springs Home Instead Hospice Care Center and Stephanie Walker, CVS store manager, say Christmas should be enjoyable for everyone from the youngest to the eldest.
“This program is a great way to help older adults who can no longer afford to get things still enjoy that spirit of Christmas where they get to open a gift given to them by someone who cares.,” said Thompson.
“”You know Ocean Springs, as a community they have come together with all this you know? I’ve got people coming in in November asking me is the senior tree going to be here, when it’s gonna be here, you know?” said Walker. “And the community just comes together and it’s just … it’s amazing to see how much they give to these people. And it’s just a blessing to be able to provide a Christmas for them.”
