Highway 90 pedestrian bridge finishing date announced

The Gulfport City Council announced the pedestrian bridge under construction across Highway 90 should be finished just after the first of the year.

The project broke ground in March 2022 and will provide a safe pathway for pedestrians, bicyclists, and a CTA Tram to cross from Jones Park to the Mississippi Aquarium.

Part of the funding for the $18 million project came from a U.S. Department of Transportation grant as part of the buses and bus facilities program.
